But if the game in available on PS Store - then you may purhase that game, install it on HDD and forget about the disk. Be warned tho - the saves for disc and downloaded versions of the games may differ, so you may be unable to continue your progress. Im replacing the hard drive's in my PS3 machines but god does it take ages putting the games in with the updates.So i would like to know if i can copy the whole of a PS3 drive to another hard drive so that hard drive can work in another PS3. Using this homebrew program, you can rip your PS3 disc based games to your internal or external USB hard drive (formatted as fat32). This is a great way to preserve your PS3 game library, as well as transport it around!
