I just made a backup of my HD with Paragon to an external drive. That went as advertised. FIne and dandy.I now say to myself 'SELF'? What will I do if my PC becomes completely hosed and will not even boot.I know. I will have a nice doorstop.Now my question is can I make a bootable flash drive to restore my backup.

I see the option is there but Ihave seen more than once researching with Google that this will not work. Seems to me doing this with CDswould require a dozen in my case. You wont be booting the OS from the media or from the external drive where the image is stored. The bootable cd i`m speaking of will be a live version of PARAGON running from the cd which will allow you to navigate to the drive where the image is stored. According to PARAGON, they seem to think that you can create your bootable media on cd or usb either one., scroll down to the bottom of the page for more info on creating the bootable cd or usb from the installed program with the wizard for that purpose.This from there site and im sure theres probably more info in the help files.

I was reading the info I need when I got your reply. The WinPE is not included with the free version I have so I will havedownload the WinE Recovery cd as you can see here. When I go to create this bootable recovery in my version nothingis said about downloading anything. I didn't think it would work the way I was told to go about it.Thank you much for the help. Make sure you've backed up before doing so. The minimum size flash drive you need is 128MB.You can choose to between making a Linux/DOS or a WinPE bootable flash drive. Generally, if you plan to use this on a workstation with non-raid components, Linux/DOS is the recommended method. WinPE offers extended support for raid controllers and new hardware provided you have the drivers.To create the USB bootable flash drive: go to Tools Recovery Media Builder select 'Flash Memory' choose 'Typical' if for standard image.Once you've created the flash drive, the flash drive is now bootable and ready to use.

You can save any archives or backup files onto that bootable drive for your convenience if you have the capacity.WinPE is included with the Professional/Server editions. To create the WinPE bootable drive, log into your Paragon account, download the WinPE Recovery CD, run and extract the ISO file to a location.
