Icons found in the Inbox, Message Headers, and Toolbars On this page we have the icons you may see in your Inbox, Sent folder, or in the message header in Outlook 2013 and above. Outlook 2013 aims for a cleaner look and many default icons, such as read and unread envelopes are gone.

Gmail Icons Not Showing

Hi Robert,Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Hi Deepika,Firstly, the Gmail window opens with all Icons showing every time in Chrome. But I prefer to use Windows browsers as that is what I am used to.I have cleared Browsing History, Caches and cookies in Edge and at the moment Gmail opens OK with all Icons showing. I have closed and opened the browser about ten times in succession.

However as this is an intermittent problem I would prefer not to closethis ticket just now.I will continue with Edge for a while, if the problem re-appears I will start using Internet Explorer for a period to see if the problem exists in that. Will post another reply in about a month to update the ticket.Thank you for your assistance. Hi, I wrote the original post on this ticket. Following my reply to Deepika I heard nothing else and the problem persisted at the time (2016). Since then I have moved onto Chrome and never had the problem again. My original problem was as follows:I opened Edge on Windows 10My Edge home page was the Inbox for my Gmail account.I select an emailThe bar above the email where you normally see the various option buttons such as Delete, Archive, Mark as unread, Move to etc were all missing.

It was just a grey bar, no icons. However, if you hovered over the bar I did get the textural explanation for each missing icon. So the buttons were present, just not showing the picture of the Bin, Folder, Envelope etc.As I no longer use Edge I cannot say if this problem still persists.

Icons not showing up in gmail

I gave up long ago.Robert.

When I forward or reply an email in Outlook, I can no longer see by looking at the orignal email that I have forwarded it or replied to it.How do I get that back? It’s unclear if the icons are still showing but do not reflect the reply/forward status or that the icons are not showing at all. Let’s first make sure the icon column is actually still showing. Adding the Icon columnThe Icon column is enabled by default but could be missing.

To verify that it is still there or to add it use;. Outlook 2010tab View- group Arrangement- button Add Columns. Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007View- Arrange By- Custom- button Fields. Outlook 2002/XP and previousView- Current View- Customize Current View- button FieldsIf the the Icon column is not listed in the right panel, then you’ll need to add it from the Frequently-used fields panel on the left. You can use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to position it correctly. Icon doesn’t reflect the statusIf the icon has been added but it does not show the reply or forward status, then there could be various reasons why this is happening.
